Fern is an accomplished artist and photographer who sells her work to individual customers, as well as commercial spaces such as hospitals and hotels. Celebrated as one of the top 100 African American photographers in the U.S., Fern's incredible work combining photography and art-making touches and moves her viewers. After retiring from her career as a professor, Fern wanted to keep creating art and was met with huge demand for her work. Her work mostly consists of portraits and natural landscape-based pieces that evoke emotion in the viewers, communicating powerful messages about the planet and social issues. She hopes to grow her business and gain more corporate contracts with commercial spaces, with the eventual goal of her work being sold in stores like Target or TJ Maxx.
